AZSCHED
The AZSCHED format provided at this site is the RAW data format used when importing observed data into the Arizona Irrigation Scheduler program. The file contains no header or footer information and each data record is contained on exactly one line. The contents of each line are outlined in the following table, and an example of the actual data is given below the table.

DDU INPUT
This format is used as input to the DDU program from The University of California Statewide Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Project. The Degree Days format has no header or footer, and contains only the date, maximum and minimum temperature, and has two fields for maximum and minimum soil temperature (not provided). Each line contains the following information:

Single Sine (F or C)
The Single Sine Method of computation for heat units or degree days is used in many pest management models and programs. The calculation of heat units using the single sine method is complex enough that it is undesirable to have to do it by hand. This conversion format provides the computed heat units along with the maximum and minimum temperatures and a daily cumulative value starting at the first day of the date range given for the conversion. For reference, a calculation of heat units by the averaging method used in the ENGLISH or METRIC formats is also given, along with cumulative values.

The file content includes a header and the requested data in a tabular format. The header lists the threshold and cutoff values used to generate the data and the location used as the source for the temperature data.

The table containing the computed values begins with a column header describing each column of data in the body of the table, followed by lines of data.

ENGLISH
The ENGLISH file format is a tabular format designed to be human readable rather than providing the input format for a program. It contains a header describing each of the data fields and units for the field. The header also contains the name of the source data file, and the elevation of the location. Note that converted data from this web site will have a source file identified by the query id of the request. This format also has a footer section which gives an average of values over the query range, as appropriate. For multiple year queries, an average is provided for the relevant data in each year. This format also uses the extra information on the CONVERT form to generate Heat Unit values for a user chosen crop or plant.

The ENGLISH (Excel) file format is an older version of the ENGLISH format, maintained for compatibility with Excel spreadsheets for irrigation scheduling and other uses.

ENGLISH with Soil Temperature
The ENGLISH with Soil Temperature file format is the same as the ENGLISH format with one additional column: Soil Temperature at depth. The Soil Temperature at depth column reports the predicted soil temperature at the selected depth, computed using the following formula:
